Make £10K months on Instagram, isn’t this almost everybody’s dream? Being able to make money online while working on your own terms, and without worrying about strict office hours, a fixed work place or a bossy manager… Well, it was mine at least, and Instagram really helped me to fulfil this dream in less than 6 months! (I know that sounds totally insane, but it’s 100% true).
I am now making a regular 5-figures per month only from Instagram as a Business Growth Coach and believe me, I am just getting started!
Want to do the same? Here is what you need:
1. A niche and a really targeted audience are key
Yes! I know you’ve probably heard this like 2 million times online but it is just soooo true! You need a niche (for those who don’t know what a niche is: It’s a specific part of a general industry eg. Social Media is an industry, Instagram management is a niche). In a few words you need to be specific but not too specific eg. “I sell gold bracelets for single moms living in Paris” otherwise you may just limit your horizons.
Once you’ve decided on your niche, you need to do some market research and see what people buy in this niche, what people need, and what they are struggling with, so you can start building an irresistible offer.
Then, you can start building your ideal customer persona. This means you will need to sit down and define what does your ideal customer looks like…
Where do they live? How old are they? Their gender? What do they like etc…
2. I built a community
Whether it be through Instagram, your blog, Tik Tok, Pinterest, Facebook, it doesn’t really matter but you need to build an engaged community. So what does that mean exactly? It means building a community that will care about your content, your business and what you share. They will either save, share, comment, or engage with it and this will allow you to gain more visibility.
When you have an engaged community it becomes really easy to sell your product or services, because your followers are already loyal fans and totally ready to buy from you!
It is your leverage. It is not really the number of followers that count (even though it does to some extent) but more the engagement rate (meaning how many interactions you get compared to the number of followers you have).
A strong community and building amazing relationships with your followers are crucial in order to scale your business.
3. I created an offer suite
What most online businesses are missing is an offer suite. They are offering too many products at the same price points and are missing out in sales because they don’t have lower prices or more premium options.
Of course, you want to have your main offer, but you also want to have a product/service offering a greater transformation/results at a higher price point, and a lower offer for those who don’t yet have the budget to buy but would like to get a little something from your business. A great offer suite doesn’t have many products/services but is built as a funnel to maximise the sales and content of any potential customers/buyers.
My offer suite is composed of a low ticket offer (ebooks), a medium offer (course), my main offer (1:1 intensives) and a high-ticket offer (1:1 programme). By doing so, I ensure my audience has access to my knowledge and training whatever their budget may be.
4. I promoted my offers again and again
I think the key is to promote one offer at a time, so your audience can really focus on understanding what your offer is about, and what transformation you are providing them with.
The aim is not to talk just once about your offer, but every single day for two weeks at least.
Of course, you should use different kinds of angles to promote it, but you need to put it out there so people actually know it exists and is happening!
5. I set income targets
When you have your offer suite in place, you need to break down how many sales you will need to hit your income goal. For example, my goal is to make £10K per month, and my main offer is selling at £200, while my premium is selling at £500. I set a goal of selling x12 premium offers and x20 main offers per month.
You just need to calculate how many sales it takes per week and take the time to push each offer. I found this step crucial in order to scale my business because you will quickly learn what to push and when in order to meet your target income!
